Directions
So, here is an easy breakfast meal for you. Enjoy this easy recipe! follow below steps to make Jowar Upma. If you have a different taste bud, try Soya Granules Upma or Vegetable Rava Upma.

Heat ghee in a pan. When it is smoking hot, add mustard seeds and hing. Once, the mustard seeds start crackling, add urad dal and chana dal. Simmer the flame. Cook until the dals are light brown in colour.

Once this done, add green chilies and curry leaves. Fry them for 30-40 seconds.

Add chopped onions and cook them on a slow flame until they turn pink. It is now time to add the grated carrot and fry for 30 seconds.

Add the semolina and roast it on slow flame for another 5-6 minutes. And now, add the Jowar flour and roast it for another 7-8 minutes on slow flame.

It is now time to add the peas. And add 3 cups of boiling water to this mixture. Add salt to taste, grated coconut and mix well.

Stir continuously until the water is evaporated. Turn off the flame.

Add the chopped coriander leaves and lemon juice. Mix well.
