Steps
1 Done | Combine the soaked Dal and Rice in a blender and blend it until it is smooth using 1.5 cups of water. The mixture should not be very watery and not very stiff as well. |
2 Done | Add salt to this batter and cover it. Now let this batter ferment for 7-8 hours in a warm place. Ensure that the vessel is double in size of the quantity of the batter. |
3 Done | After 7-8 hours, mix the batter with the help of a steel ladle. It will be nicely fermented. |
4 Done | Heat a griddle and rub it with some oil using a muslin or a thin cloth. |
5 Done | Pour a ladleful of this batter. Spread it uniformly in a circular motion. Keep it on medium heat. |
6 Done | Let it cook until it is golden brown in color. While this time, you can drizzle some oil on the sides of the dosa. |
7 Done | Once the dosa is cooked, you can just remove it from all the edges of the griddle. Now roll it and serve hot. |
