FOR THE DHOKLA

1 cup Soaked Thick Poha - Flattened RiceJada phoha (soaked for 15 minutes)

1 cup SemolinaRava/Sooji

2 cups Curd(preferably little sour)

Saltto taste

2 tsp Eno Fruit Salt

FOR THE TEMPERING
-
1 tbsp Oil
-
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
-
1 tsp Sesame Seeds

1 tsp Urad Dal
-
8 - 10 Curry Leaves

2 Green Chillesslit
Directions
There are times when we have cravings for home-made Dhokla. But, without fermentation how can we prepare Instant Dhokla? Well, Poha Dhokla is one of the easiest as well as healthy Dhokla recipes.
Steps
For Dhokla |

In a blender, add the soaked Poha and blend it into a smooth paste.

In a large bowl, add this paste, semolina and curds. Mix well. Add salt.

Let it rest for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, prepare the steamer to steam the dhoklas. Grease the plate with oil in which dhoklas are to be steamed.

Once the steamer is ready, add fruit salt to the Dhokla mixture. Mix well.

Immediately, transfer this mixture to the Dhokla plate. Let it steam for 10 minutes.

Check with a toothpick by inserting it in the middle of the Dhokla plate. If it comes out clean, then the Dhoklas are ready.

Remove them, let them cool and then cut into desired shapes.

For the tempering |

Heat oil in a tempering pan. Once it is smoking hot, add the mustard seeds and let them crackle.

Now, add the sesame seeds, urad dal and let the dal become light brown.

Now add the curry leaves and slit green chilies.

Spread this tempering over the Poha Dhoklas and garnish with coriander.

POHA DHOKLAS are ready to be served with your choice of chutney.
