Directions
Tomato Basil Soup made with fewer ingredients and it take only 10 minutes to make. Learn to this fresh and vibrant flavored soup by following below steps.

Place tomatoes, rock salt, cloves, roasted cumin seeds powder and ginger in a large pot with 4 cups of water. Cover the pot and let it cook until the tomatoes are soft and start falling apart. This should take around 15 minutes.

At this point once the tomatoes are falling apart, add the basil leaves. Cover and cook for another 5-7 minutes.

Switch off the flame. Using a hand blender, blend the entire mixture in to a smooth one.

Strain this soup in another pan. Now put this mixture to boil and let it reduce to a soup consistency.

You may add olive oil or 1 tbsp of butter to make it rich and creamy.

Once it reaches the soup consistency, switch off the flame. Transfer it in a soup bowl and serve hot with toasted bread.
