1 1/2 tsp Oil

1 tsp Mustard Seeds

1/2 tsp Urad Dal

5 - 6 Curry Leaves
Directions
This chutney goes well with idlis dosa or any other snacks. Follow below steps and direction to make tomato & flaxseed chutney at home. For those who love Amla, here is Spicy Amla Chutney.

For Chutney |

Heat oil in a pan. Add garlic, ginger, dried red chilies and flax seeds. Saute them until golden. Remove it and keep it in a plate.

In the same pan, add tomatoes and cook until they are soft.

In a blender, combine ginger-garlic mixture as well as tomatoes, tamarind and salt. Blend until smooth like chutney.

For Tempering |

Heat oil in a pan. Once it reaches smoking point, add mustard seeds. Once it splutters, add urad dal and curry leaves. Let the curry leaves crackle.

Add this tempering to the Chutney and serve.
